1 – Click Windows key >> Control Panel >> Programs >> select Programs and Features.
2 – Choose the instance of SQL Server 2005 to repair, then click Change.
3 – From the Component Selection window >> Database Engine >> click on the Next.
4 – From the Feature Maintenance window >> Database Engine >> click on the Next.
5 – From the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup window >> click on the Next.
6 – From the System Configuration Check >> Click on the Next.
7 – From the Change or Remove Instance window, click Complete the suspended installation.
8 – From the Error and Usage Report Settings window >> click on the Next.
9 – From the Ready to Update window >> click on the Install.
10 – From the Setup Progress window >> click on the Nest and then click on the Finish.
11 – Once the installation complete, start Windows Update >> now check for the updates.
Note: As there are many Microsoft Windows version are available and hence the above steps may be different as per the version. Therefore, it is recommended that you must check your system OS version to complete these steps.
